TTM RTB 61-100 S8
Mixing vessel for high system pressures – volume 100 litres
Mixing vessel TTM RTB 61-100 S8 has been designed for systems with high pressures, up to approx. 8 bar. TTM RTB is a complete mixing vessel with top-up pump and the necessary fittings for mixing and topping up of glycol/ethanol mixed cooling media, calcium chloride mixtures, solar heating media or heating media.
The mixing vessel has a rectangular, space-saving design with a volume of 100 litres and clear volume indication.
The vessel is manufactured from rotational cast HD polyethylene and equipped with a screw cap. The pump is made in stainless steel 1.4301.
TTM RTB 61-100 S8 is primarily intended for ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and ethanol mixtures of max. 29.9%, but is also suitable for calcium chloride mixtures, although with a reduced pressure height of approx. 6 bar. Other mixtures of cooling medium and heating medium may require specially designed pumps or fittings. Consult with TTM.
For protection against accidental release during storage and handling of environmentally hazardous chemical mixtures such as glycol, use TTM Protector 61-100 as an accessory to mixing vessel TTM RTB 61-100 S8, see page 4.

Equipment
1. Pump
Single phase pump with connection cable, connection box
(IP55) with thermal motor protection, ON/OFF switch, and
2 m connection cable including safety plug.
2. Shut-off valves
3.Drain valve
Version with hose screw connection R 1/2”.
4. Non-return valve
5. Bottom valve with strainer
Component:
A. Pump Wilo TWI 5 308, 1×230 V
B. Shut off valve
C. Non-return valve
D. Bottom valve (non-return valve with strainer)
E. Drain valve
F. Shut off valve
G. Vessel
Pipe PEX 15 and 28 mms
Function:
1. Fill the vessel with the desired quantity of water and glycol/ethanol/ calcium chloride.
2. When first started, the pump must be filled with water.
3. Shut off valve F must be closed to the system.
4. Start pump A. Valve B must be open.
5. Top up the desired quantity of glycol and allow the fluids to mix.
6. Open valve F and close valve B. The system fills.
7. After filling is complete, the vessel must be emptied and all
glycol residues flushed from the pump. Close valve F.
Cooling media based on glycol, with associated inhibitors, are classified as hazardous waste and may not be emptied into the wastewater system. To fulfil regulatory requirements regarding the storage of environmentally hazardous chemicals, the mixing vessel must be placed in a overfill containment vessel type TTM Protector 61-100.

Simonsland in Borås
When Kanico created a new district in the town of Borås, they chose TTM to supply shunt units for the HVAC systems. The area is called Simonsland and contains 60,000 m2 of buildings.
TTM Energiprodukter was one of the suppliers in the construction of the prestigious Copenhagen Opera House Together with their reseller, the company succeeded in winning the deal and delivering 98 different shunt units.
